As promised, here’s a better photo of the Headless Horseman’s horse (he’s actually jet black, but the flash washed him out). If you choose to believe the ghost story was just a hoax perpetrated by Brom Bones, then you can call this horse Daredevil. This was my first horse doll as well as the first time I experimented with an armature. There’s always room for improvement, but I think he came out pretty good.
I had plans to put a saddle on him, as well as a face plate and fancy reigns. But in the end, I decided the Headless Horseman wouldn’t dress his steed in a bunch of fancy doodads. And the saddle would be obscured by the rider anyway. So what you get is a basic horse with just a bridle and reigns. Below is a photo of the horse with his rider.
