Tuesday Tip: Needle Felting Needles

When I first started needle felting, I went through a lot of broken needles. I admit I had a bad habit of leaving them stuck in the felting pad and then snapping them off with a careless elbow. The silver lining in that is that it afforded me the opportunity to try a lot of different needles on for size. Eventually, I tried Kay Petal’s Felt Alive Super Duper Felting Needles. Yes, that’s their name. One of the best things about them is that they’re color-coded with cushioned grips. So they’re comfortable to use and it’s easy to tell what the gauge is at a glance. They come in single, double and quad size and, though you still have to be careful not to snap the points off, they’re easier to see because of the grips so it’s easier to avoid that issue. I highly recommend these needles and you can find them on the Felt Alive Needle Felting supply site.
